Spring Pictures

Here are a bunch of pictures from this spring. Brace yourselves.
Vons had strawberries on sale for 79 cents a pound and I was running low on jam so I picked up 16 pounds, you heard me, 16 pounds. It took me so long, I will never make that much again since you have to do it one batch at a time. But at least I have a long time before I have to do it again. This is just two batches and now my freezer is packed with jam.
Chyler and I were going to bed when we heard a sucking sound coming from the crib. He had found his thumb for the first time which I thought was way cute but I quickly took it out of his mouth after I took the picture.
Cuddling while watching cartoons.
I know, I know, Carson is over two and I still make him eat in the high chair but my chairs are tan fabric and he has already stained two of them. So when he eats something messy, he has to do it in the high chair. I stole my sister's sewing machine and I have been sewing like crazy lately. I finally made curtains for my room which I have been wanting to do since we moved in. I love them.
Kade has been hanging out with me while I sew and he was apparently bored.
Close-up of those adorably fat cheeks
Kade smiling at his daddy. Don't mind the pink swing, I borrowed it from Jodi to have upstairs. By morning, anywhere from 6-8am, Kade wakes up and doesn't want to eat or wake up but doesn't want to be laying down either so I started putting him in the swing and he will go back to sleep till like 10. Don't understand it but I'm glad it's working for him.
Floor time
One of Carson's new things this spring was to pull out all of our socks and put them on. I'd be a lot more mad if he weren't so proud of himself for getting them on. So cute.
Carson LOVES to cuddle and I think that is why he still wakes up most nights to come into bed with us. It got a lot worse when I was pregnant because I was too tired to fight it and he also started going to Chyler since my huge belly got in the way. It gets real tight in our little bed and this is how I woke up to find Carson one morning, poor Chyler.
I don't know why, but we were hanging out on the landing of our stairs.
Another fatty picture, love it.
The weather was so amazing for a few weeks that we couldn't stay inside. Carson got some sidewalk chalk from a birthday party so I decided to introduce him to the driveway.
He loved it and I had some fun too.
My mom made a growth chart when we were little and it still hangs in their kitchen with everyone on there. I have been wanting to make one for a long time and my friend had one that I feel in love with so I decided to make it. I got all the stuff and had some friends over and I love how it turned out. If you can't read it, it's the scripture "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Its so fitting for the sweet little spirits we are entrusted with.

Kade's Two Month Pictures

It is so fun having another baby in the home especially since Carson loves him so much. He isn't as content as Carson was, he just always wants to be part of the party but he is still a great baby. He would be much better if he would sleep longer during the night, sometimes he wakes up every hour, and I really miss my sleep. At his two month appointment he weighed 13.4 pounds (83rd percentile) and is 24.5 in long (92nd percentile).
I tried to get a smile but he just wasn't having it.

Random Videos

Here are a couple of cute videos of Carson. I love all his animals noises but you can't hear them as well as I had hoped. I still think its pretty cute though.

Carson loves to help Chyler while he is working and I finally got a video of it while Chyler was fixing the air conditioner.

Presley's First Birthday

Its so funny to think now of how badly Patrick and Jodi wanted a boy. After seeing them with Presley, I can't imagine them with a boy and Jodi would die if she didn't have a girl to dress in this adorable pettiskirt!! Presley wasn't too happy about it but she sure looked cute.
I didn't realize till now, how much hair Presley has gotten in the last few months, she is still so bald here. Carson and his Presley. He didn't like all the attention Presley was getting, he had to get in on the action.
I LOVE this picture. All the girls were dressed up and taking pictures, so I wanted to get one with Carson with them and he just jumped right in, grabbed Hadley's hand and made this face. Its priceless.
Jodi and her baby girl
I had to get one of with her since I can't dress my boys up like this.
Kade smiling up at Patrick's mom
See, this is me trying to get a picture with my son, no wonder I took so many with Presley.
Carson didn't dig into his cake like I expected him to but Presley sure wasn't scared.
All tuckered out. This must of been one of the few times I got him to take the binkie.
Got to love the hot pink icing. When I was taking these pictures, I kept asking Carson to turn around, meaning face me, but he would obediently turn around 360 degrees. I don't know where he learned that but I thought it was so cute.

Short Vacation--California

For months I begged Chyler to take some time off since he worked so hard and his body was paying for it. But since he is the only plumber at his day job, he can only leave town when they don't need him and he finally had two days in April. We decided to just go down to my parents house and go to the beach and the LA Zoo. We had tons of fun.
We chose the warmer of the two days to go to the beach but it was still way cold since it was so early in the season. We even had to stop on the way to the beach to get Carson a suit since we hadn't needed one yet. We also grabbed his some beach toys which he loved. Notice how Chyler and I didn't even get into our suits.
I love these pictures of Carson and Chyler playing in the water. Carson absolutely loves the beach which I am thrilled about since it is one of my favorite places. He did not even care that he was so cold that he wouldn't stop shivering and his lips were totally blue. When Chyler and I were ready to go, Carson freaked out and cried the whole time we were packing up, showering him off, getting him dressed and put him in the car. It was way sad. This is how Kade enjoyed his time at the beach
I hate not being in any of the pictures
On the way home from the beach we stopped at Downtown Disney. By the time the sun was going down, it was really cold. I had brought warm clothes for everyone but me so I was so ready to go home and there was only one restaurant to eat at and it was a 2 hour wait so we just left. Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed with the place.
On Saturday we went down to the LA Zoo. It is nothing like I remember it, now it is so ghetto and way packed. And it seemed like half the exhibits were closed.
We thought that Carson would love seeing all the animals but really all he wanted to do was run...and run...and run!
This is one of the few smiles I got out of him.
I used this picture his the ABC book I made for Carson and every time I look at it, I think how young he looks even though it was just a few months ago.
This is a more actuate depiction of how we spent our day. He wanted to run through all the crowds and would get so mad when we wouldn't let him.
Kade was great, but they are so easy when they don't move.
This is how we got him to stop going crazy, stuff his face with cookies.
When we stopped for lunch he was being really cute. It must have been his cute jaguar lunchbox.
My three boys, I love them so much.
Carson sure played hard this weekend, check out all his scraps and bruises
Carson and I playing with the camera, notice how I am totally restraining him.

Kade's 1st Smiles

K, obviously he isn't smiling in this picture but he slept the whole time with his arm up in the air, so funny Kaden started really smiling on April 2nd but it took me a couple of weeks to get a picture of it because he wouldn't do it when I had the camera. I had to wait till Chyler was home to take them while I talked to him. This is the preamble to the smiling but I love it.
And of course with the kissing

Carson's Bedtime Routine

Carson has come a long way in his bedtime routine. Since he was born he would fall asleep with us, first while he was nursing, then just while we were watching TV or whatever, then we would put him in bed. But while I was pregnant he just got out of control and would start staying up so late that we had to put a stop to it. When we got the toddler bed, he loved it and when I would say, "let's brush teeth," he would jump up and run to the bathroom then run to his bed. But after reading books and saying prayers, we would have to stay in there till he would fall asleep which would sometimes take up to an hour. After some time we started sitting in the hall where he could see us, till finally we would be able to just put him in bed and leave the room. It took a few months and we still have some rough nights (which I doubt will stop) but he has come so far. But now that he can go to bed on his own I totally miss spending that time with him. After we finish reading books and say prayers, he will tap the pillow next to him till we lay down. Then I will sing him some songs, he always asks for Twinkle Star first then Child of God. Sometimes he sings with me, he tries really hard to follow along. It is so sweet cause he will randomly lean over and give me kisses or he will jabber on and on about who knows what and it is so precious. I think we both need that one on one time to bond still.
Before we got the toddler bed Most nights Chyler and I will take turns putting him to bed but when Chyler is working late, I have to do it with both boys. They both love those nights and this time Kade went to sleep instead of Carson. Every time Kade is sleeping, Carson will whisper, "shh, sleeping." I've tried getting video of it but it isn't very clear.
Carson and I were playing with the camera instead of reading books
