California...here we come...

Carson and Hailey
The last weekend in March, Jodi and I took a trip down to Michele's house in California so we could go shopping in LA for, that's right, purses. As if we didn't get enough in New York in October, we just needed to get more. Yes, we are seeking help for our addition. We stopped to pick up my mom on the way to make it a full car. The selection is not nearly as good as it was in New York but I did find the purse I was looking for so the trip was a success. I also found two pairs of shoes that I get compliments on all the time.

Smiles and Splashes

Carson started really smiling at 5 weeks and it is so cute so of course we do anything we can to make him smile. Unfortunately, we get a lot of these "seriously?" looks! But he does love taking his baths. I am covering him up so he stays a little warmer in our cold house and so I don't get a shower of my own!!

I Love New York

Last October we took a girls trip to New York, New York. It was my mom, my aunt Jeannine, my four sisters, my two sisters-in-law, and my oldest niece Britney. It was so fun but with Kiersten, Emily, and me all being pregnant, it was a little draining. We all bought "I Love NY" shirts to take a picture and since Kiersten and I were due only a week apart, we each got little onesies for our babies.

Gotta love Superman (pregers Darlene and Kiersten)
Yep, 46 purses between the 10 of us...what else do you expect from a girls trip!!!
Brilynn Brooke and Carson Chyler are 7 days apart.
Since Katelyn happened to have her shirt on too, she jumped into the picture.

Carson's Baby Blessing

We decided to bless Carson on Saturday, March 22nd, so that my family could come down and go to Lissa's wedding and be here for the blessing. It was great having all of my siblings and parents here to support us. I think we had about 54 people over at our house for lunch afterwards, it was totally crazy but we loved it. If you notice, Carson has gone completely bald on the top of his head so he looks like an old man. I still think he is adorable though. His cousin Lindsey is holding him in the last picture.

Lissa's Wedding

My cousin Lissa got married on March 21st so this was Carson's first trip to the Las Vegas Temple. My niece and nephew, Trent and Hailey, were hanging out with me so we got a quick picture.

Family Pictures

So I am trying to go back and do postings so I can document Carson's life so just bare with me when postings are completely out of order. I really wanted to take family pictures when Carson was little because I thought this photographer did such a great job with infants. Carson was only three weeks old and he was such a good baby usually but when we went he was tired and very hungry so he was not real happy with us. Towards the end of the pictures, you can tell that he was really tired because his eyes start getting droopy, then he ended up falling asleep during one of the pictures. Luckily they still turned out really cute and I am really glad that we got them done. The password is Carson if you go to the site. http://megansagersphotography.instaproofs.com/category.php?event=44763&id=97425

I Love My Grandma

One of the main reasons I moved to Las Vegas is to live with my sweet Grandma. I lived with her for 2 years and we were very, very close. I had my friend over one time and Grandma was being her sassy self while we were cooking together in the kitchen and I said to my friend, "see, this is where I get my sass." And Grandma quickly replied, "you didn't get it from me, I kept it all for myself!!" I miss her so much.
When Grandma passed away, I got the chair that Carson is on, it is from Grandma's elementary school so lets just say it is much older than Chyler, Carson, and I combined. All the grandchildren loved these chairs growing up so I am sure that my kids are going to love them just as much. I am so glad that I can share part of Grandma and my childhood with them.

Grandma's Visit

This was my favorite outfit when he was born.
About a month before Carson was born, my mom and I tried to plan when he was going to arrive so my mom could buy a plane ticket. I knew for sure that he was not going to come on his own so the doctor would have to induce me but the doctor originally told me that he would let me go over a week before inducing. So with my due date being Friday, the 22nd, I figured I could get my doctor to induce me on Wednesday, the 27th so my mom could come on Thursday and be here when I got home from the hospital. She got a substitute teacher for Friday and bought her plane ticket. So the good news was that my doctor ended up inducing me before my due date because I was so ready for have the baby, the bad news was that my mom didn't get to see him until a week and a half after he was born. I am just glad that she was able to come even though it wasn't right away.

Our Family

We were lucky enough to have my sisters and mom come and stay with us after we brought Carson home. Michele came first, then Trina, then my mama with Jodi coming over almost every night after work. It was really fun not to mention it was great having all the help so I could try to get some sleep. Here are some of our first family pictures.
