Idaho Trip (It's a long one)
So this summer we had our first Lettie and Zendell, my grandparents, reunion up in Idaho. So I decided to head up early to stay with Alan and Kiersten beforehand while my mom stayed with Nate and Emily to help with the new baby, Kenna. Although it was a really long time to be away from Chyler, we had a great time.
Carson climbs on everything and poor little Bri wanted so badly to join him but just isn't a climber like Carson, or at least she wasn't until after Carson's visit...sorry Kiersten!!
Carson usually just loves to unplug my phone to bring it to me but this is him trying to plug it in, I just love his intense facial expression.

And this is Carson trying to do it all over again.
To feed the goats you have to go out and feed them through the fence. Carson was loving it and he got so excited he just started throwing the food at them and when he ran out of food he just started picking up the bark off the ground and trying to feed that to them. That's what the video is of, just ignore the fact that it is sideways.
The Splash Park
Rexburg has added a splash park and the kids loved it and when I say kids, I mean Britney too
Yep, Britney chopped my hair off, I'm still getting used to it
The Idaho Falls Zoo
The IF zoo is great for kids because its just the right size, although I can't wait to take him to the LA or San Diego Zoos because they are incredible.
Bri got to get up close and personal with this monkey
Checking out the lions
Carson being cornered by the goat
I had to post this picture because this is what Carson does with all animals, he tries to stick his finger in their mouth. I always tell him no but I don't think he is going to get it until he gets bit. I just hope it isn't too bad once it finally happens.
So little kids + petting zoo + little doors = Carson running through little doors and scary all the sheep inside and me chasing after him. This is us coming out the other side. What we don't have a picture of is all the sheep that ran out before us.
One more funny video
The Rexburg Temple
Carson started knocking on the doors then continued to knock on every surface around half the temple.
The best picture we got of them the whole 10 days
The Hale Reunion
We had a great time with all of the cousins that could make it. The first night we watched a movie out back while the Hales made grandma's homemade doughnuts, YUM!! This is Carson riding the speaker.
Britney and Hailey playing with Carson
On the last night we had a talent show where the Downey girls did a lip sync of "Girls just want to have fun" and "Material Girl." We were way nervous at first of making fools of ourselves but we had a ton of fun.

The temple was announced while I was still in school but this is the first time I have seen it since it was completed. It was way pretty and it was nice letting the kids run around in a fenced area.
This is not a site you see very often of my dad holding a baby so I had to get a shot.
On the last morning we got a picture of these three cute toddlers, Bri, Carson and my cousin's baby, Graham. Can't wait to see the three of them together again in 3 years.

Toast, Yum
I believe Carson has entered into his terrible twos even before he turned 18 months. He throws these dramatic tantrums where he throws himslef on the floor and screams. Also, he used to eat absolutely everything and now he won't even touch the food he loved the day before. I am so beyond frustrated because for one, I have wasting food, and for two, I feel like a bad mother for being able to feed my baby. And up until he started walking he was in the 90 percentile in both height and weight. So if anyone has any advice for me, please let tell me what to do to make him eat.

More Pool Fun
It was a sad day after we came home from California and discovered that our pool had several holes in it. Our back patio is slanted for drainage and so the pool never stood strait thus it would bend weird and it got holes where it would bend. So sad. So I had to send Chyler to get the hard plastic one which doesn't fit my raft but is much better since it is smaller and doesn't take as much water. Plus it has shorted sides for Carson to get in and out of. He really doesn't care what he is in as long as he has his hose. I was too lazy to go up stairs to get a swim diaper and his bathing suit so he is going ghetto in his regular diaper.
California Again
Jodi wanted to go home to California before she had to go back to work and since my parents are traveling fiends in the summers, we only had like one week we could go down to visit. So in June we headed down and I had some grand plans to go to the beach and spend tons of time outside since it is so beautiful there. However, they were having like record lows there and we even were he in Vegas so there went all of my plans. I didn't even pack one warm item of clothing so I was freezing in my shorts and flip flops all week. So sad. But we did go shopping and spend time with the parents and Michele's family so it wasn't a complete bust. And on Thursday night we went to the 2nd Avenue Fair that Upland has had forever with Laura and Emerson and Margaret. So I guess the funnel cake saved the week, no offense family....I love you also.
Jodi and Michele put Alyssa's headband on Carson which he clearly did not like since they both had to restrain him long enough for a picture. But isn't the flower cute, yep, my handy-work. I made a bunch of them for Alyssa and Presley as part of my new year's resolution to be more crafty.
Carson has hated the baby swings at parks every time we have tried them but he was all over these in my parents backyard. I think he also liked that Emerson was there. Isn't my parents backyard beautiful. They have done a ton of work to it in the last few years and I love it. Especially all the grass, it's actually green as opposed to the dead stuff in my yard.

Shoes Everywhere
So Carson has been into my shoes all the time now. Before he would just go into my closet and pull them all of the shelves but now he takes them and carries them around the house. Let me tell you, finding my shoes to leave has been a nightmare. But it is really funny watching him walk around in my high heels especially since he is so good at it. Chyler always keeps his shoes downstairs because they are not allowed on the carpet so I really need to get a picture of him wearing those.
