Tyler's Special Day

Today is my nephew Tyler's 17th birthday and being the wonderful aunt that I am, I set him up with a smokin' HOT girl. Even though it was their first date, I think they really hit it off. Here is a picture of the cute little couple!!! No need to thank me Tyler, I just wanted you to have a great birthday. I love you punkin.

Okay, so really, last Thanksgiving weekend my parents, Trina's family, Michele's family and Chyler and I went into Hollywood and Universal City Walk. We couldn't resist making Tyler take a picture with the crazy mannequin. He is such a good sport. Here are some more pictures from the day.

From the Beach Boys to NSYNC

Becky and I in our matching green jackets. No, it was not planned but I can't say that it was the first time we have matched in our lives. I just wanted to put in this picture because Tuacan is so beautiful. Court, Lissa, Becky, me, Steven, and his date

So my cousin Becky invited me to be her date to the Beach Boys concert in St. George, Utah she was going to with her family. Of course, I couldn't turn down the Beach Boys, so we went up a little early and I dropped Carson off with my sister Trina, and we headed off to the concert. It was a little cold and it started to sprinkle a few times but it was a great show. The Beach Boys have a special place in my sibling and cousins' hearts because we would listen to our parents records of them and on the way to one of our family vacations we all have the memory of singing the songs the whole way in the car.

So while I was belting out the great songs with my cousins, I had this thought, do you think that our kids are going to love NSYNC the way that we love the Beach Boys because it is what our parents loved? I sure hope because I sure have a ton of great memories involving NSYNC and I am sure my kids are going to get a kick out of.

3 Months Old

I went to take Carson 3 month pictures this day and I was so excited because not only are these Carson's first pictures where he can smile but I just love this outfit he is wearing. But of course, leave it to me to pick the picture where he is only in his diaper. So I decided to do a photo shoot of my own that night at home.

One of the most amazing things about being a mom and seeing your sweet little baby stare up at you and smile. Sometimes, he will just look at me until I look at him and when I do he gets a huge grin on his face. It is so precious. I luckily got it on camera this night. Another time I love his smile is when he just wakes up and sees me for the first time. You can't help but think you are doing something right to deserve the love your baby gives you by giving you his adorable smiles.

And I guess I wore him out.

Carson Laughing

The first time Carson laughed was at his 2 months check-up. We were in the exam room and the nurse was just inputting his temperature and weight and such into the computer so Chyler and I were just playing with him. We got so excited because it just came out of no where. After that we discovered that the sure way of getting him to laugh is by turning him upside down and chewing on his tummy, he loves it. One night we were hanging out with friends and we beat them to the house so we were just waiting outside for them in the car. So please ignore that the picture is so dark and the talk radio in the background.

He is so happy Just kidding, he is so sad He loves to put his legs up in the air like this Look at those fat cheeks This is the onesie that Jodi gave me for my baby shower and then tried to steal it back on a number of occasions. I guess they are right about horizontal strips, they make his gut look huge but he is so dang cute no matter how fat he is.

One night, we were just watching TV and of course Carson fell asleep on Chyler's shoulder because he was always sleeping. Chyler started to get up so we could go upstairs to bed and Carson lifted his head and fell back asleep on Chyler's cheek. It looks so uncomfortable for him but man was he out cold.

The last weekend in March, Jodi and I took a trip down to Michele's house in California so we could go shopping in LA for, that's right, purses. As if we didn't get enough in New York in October, we just needed to get more. Yes, we are seeking help for our addition. We stopped to pick up my mom on the way to make it a full car. The selection is not nearly as good as it was in New York but I did find the purse I was looking for so the trip was a success. I also found two pairs of shoes that I get compliments on all the time.
