As you can see, Carson HATES when you close the gates and goes downstairs without him. He can be completely content playing but if he sees the gate shutting, its all over. My pantry was a disaster so I decided it needed to be reorganized one day. While I was pregnant, I lived on cereal because it was the food that made me the least sick so I still have tons of it but don't have much of an appetite for it anymore so I ended up throwing away a few boxes that were old. A few minutes later I turned around to Carson sitting in the middle of a pile of Kix spilled all over the floor.
This is him fleeing the scene of the crime.

Working Men

Usually on Saturdays, Chyler does his Grease Away work so Carson and I decided to go with him for the day. Carson always loves to watch Chyler work at home and he really loved going with him to work.
He just follows Chyler around trying to help, it is so cute. Apparently, Carson gets his tongue-sticking-out from his daddy.

Baby Alyssa

In February, Carson and I went down to Michele's to help out after she had Alyssa. It was so fun to be with the new baby but luckily it did not make me baby hungry like I thought it would. It seemed that every time I would hold her, Carson would be needing something or getting into something. So I'm good with a little more time before #2 comes along!!!
Cute baby girl
Here she is with the head band I made her This was right before I left my house to go down, Carson was just being really funny while he was eating his crackers He looks like a little squirrel
Hailey had a lot of fun with Carson, she is such a good cousin
I think that Carson looks so old in this picture, it is so hard realizing that he isn't my baby anymore.
But then I am reminded that he is still a baby.
Hailey wanted to take a picture of us, I think it turned out cute.
This is me trying to hold both of them and take a picture at the same time, that's why I look kinda scary!!

Games

Carson has loved playing chase even when he was still in his walker. He gets so excited he can barely run and half the time he just stops and wants to be caught. It is so much fun watching him grow.

He got this basket ball game for Christmas and this is his favorite thing to do with it. Who says you need a ball to play basket ball.

Happy 1st Birthday

We had a little party for Carson's birthday. Carson was still taking his nap when the party started and he will a little overwhelmed to a house full of people when he was just waking up. And Chyler was an hour late because he was working but other than that we had fun. Jodi and I made the race car cake and Carson didn't know what to think about it.
I was hoping that he would dig in like so many other babies on their first birthday but he didn't see my vision. He would only eat it if I fed it to him. He was so ready to be done by this point. Although he has his serious face on, he did love all his new presents.
Now the party can begin. Once it was just me and Carson, he really dug in and played with all his new toys.

1 Year

This has been one of the most amazing years of my life and I can not believe how quickly it has flown by. Carson has been such a great baby and we have loved having him in our home because he is way more fun than Chyler. But we are so grateful for him every day as he continues to grow and learn.
As you can see from the pictures, getting him to sit still these days is not that easy, he would much rather to running around and showing off his independence. Like I said, he has been a great baby but now that he has the freedom to go where he wants to, he sure gets an attitude when you don't let him.

Silly Boy

These are all pictures depicting what Carson has been up to lately.
He spends a lot of time standing here and talking loudly because it echos over the living room. One of his new things is dropping things through the rungs, I barely caught him this week before he dropped my cell phone over the edge Even though I am still wearing sweatshirts and slippers, Carson loves to be naked This is when I knew that Carson was too big for the walker, when he can prop his foot up on one side so he can lean over the other side, he's too big.
He has started climbing onto anything and everything. It began with this chair because it is so little but I had to put it away because he would stand up and rock back and forth until it almost tips over. And he loves to read his books, he will go into the dark dinning room and stay there forever.
As I said, he climbs onto everything. Even though I don't put him in this anymore, it doesn't stop him from climbing in himself.
Sometimes he doesn't make it in correctly
He loves to empty my drawers and climb right in
He also spends a ton of time here while I am getting ready in the bathroom
Or if we are downstairs, then he likes to hang out on the bottom step because it is the perfect size for him
This is him running away from me with my tape measure
He feels so proud of himself when he can climb onto things, so he will just sit there to enjoy the fruits of his labors
Since he started walking, he has discovered how handy his neck is. He will put everything around his neck and carry it around the house like belts, ties, cords, and once again, my tape measure. But he also likes to carry around things like spatulas, sticks, drum sticks, etc like he is a king dictating his people. Here he is carrying a bouquet of flowers after I took the flowers off, he played with it for days.
