My sister told me that you aren't supposed to put sunscreen on babies under 6 months. Because I was so scared he was going to get sunburned that I kept his robe and hat on the whole time. Britney kept calling him Backstreet Boy since he had his hood on and his chest exposed. Let it be known that my baby is way cutter than any Backstreet Boy.

Mustache "Man"cation
So Chyler's little friends from high school like to take these vacations and this special one had a theme. They all had to grow a mustache in order to go on the trip. I love Chyler very much but I think he looks sick with a mustache because he looks like a criminal. He had fun on the trip except for the fact that the first night they went camping and somehow his sleeping bag fell off the roof along the way. They had to drive down to Beaver and the only thing they could find was those Mexican blankets. Needless to say, he froze all night and didn't sleep at all. Poor guy. The next day they went up to Salt Lake to see the Salt Lake Galaxy soccer team. And lucky for Chyler, they stayed that night at their friend's parents' house so Chyler was able to get some sleep before they came home.
You guys can judge for yourself as to how you think Chyler looks with a mustache.
Tired Boy
So Sundays were pretty hard for me for a while. For like 5 weeks straight, Carson would wake up at about 4am to eat and then I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep because I would be worried that I wouldn't wake up for church at 9am. So I would be a zombie at church because I was so tired. Apparently, Carson would be pretty tired too because one Sunday, we got home from church and had to rush to make Chyler's birthday lunch of hamburgers and chili cheese fries before our home teachers were coming over. We had put Carson down on the couch and when we realized he had been quite for a while, we took a look and saw this. So cute. He was totally out the whole time while we ate and through the home teachers visit. We thought it was pretty funny especially considering the fact that he hardly ever falls asleep on his own.

Couch Potato
Chyler and I are very much night owls and that has not changed with having a baby. Luckily, we learned that Carson likes to watch TV. So in the mornings when he wakes up super early, I feed him and then he will watch cartoons in his chair until I am ready to get up. He is such a good baby. One night we were hanging out and Carson was busy watching TV on the couch and I couldn't resist taking a picture.
Movin' Up
When Carson was new, I was able to bathe him in his tub on my bathroom counter. It was easier for me to do that versus bending over the tub while I was still healing. As he got older and started kicking his legs, he started to get everything on my counter wet. Thus, he graduated to using his tub in my tub so it didn't matter how much he splashed. He still loves his baths.

Big Week
A couple weeks ago was a big week for Carson. Not only was it his first time being sick, he also sat up for the first time and rolled over. Starting with the sickness, he started coughing occasionally but it sounded like a fake cough so I didn't think anything of it other than it was really cute. A few days later it became more frequent and started sounding bad, then he started to get a runny nose. He is such a good baby even when he doesn't feel good that I didn't think it was that bad until he was up for most of the night. Then, I spoke to my sister Trina and she said her boys would cough when they had ear infections. So I took him into the doctor the next day and luckily it was just a cough and congestion. He took some cough medicine and was pretty clingy to me but other than that, he was a trooper.
On to more exciting news. Carson sat up for the first time on his own when we were heading to bed one night. For a long time now, he has been trying to pull himself forward when he was propped up on something so I knew it wouldn't be long before he was sitting up. What surprised me though was that he was more anxious to sit up than he was to roll over. Again, for a while now he has been rolling onto his sides when he lifts his legs up in the air. And he would occasionally rolled over if he was on a incline on the bed but I think that was just more accidental. His lack of desire wasn't for lack of trying on our part. We always put him on the floor and on his tummy but he would just fuss and fuss till we turned him over. I just figured he would do it when he was ready. So then, the next morning after sitting up, he rolled over like he had been doing it all along.
