June

Here are some fun things we did in June.
Here's Carson trying to fit into a tiny square basket, it's not really working out for him Laura and Russell stopped by for a quick visit on their way up to Utah and we got some pictures of the kids. Kade and Leighton were supposed to be due on the same day but that was before my doctor pushed my date back 10 days. Laura is the one who peer pressured me to take the pregnancy test at my parents' house last June.
The four of them together. They are such adorable little girls and Carson loves Emerson so much.
Kade bored with my sewing again. He is clearly getting too big for this bouncie.
When we cleared out our backyard, we had new plants put in and Carson loves to pick them and bring them to me. It is so sweet but I get so frustrated cause I want them to stay on the plant.
Carson and Presley
Carson dressed up in daddy's clothes. He tries to walk down the stairs all the time wearing my high heels or Chyler's big shoes and it freaks me out every time.
I love this picture of Carson peeking over the counter. Chyler is eating ice cream out of the carton and Carson is trying to get in on the action.
We decided to walk over to the park one night and these are all pictures from that. I love this picture because it is so hard to get Carson to take pictures with us now.
He used to love me, now I'm not so sure.
One of our favorite family activities is when I make rice crispy treats and we all watch a movie or one of our shows. Carson usually digs into the pan with both hands.
Carson always wants to be in the pictures when I am taking them of Kade but then he won't smile, at least not very often. I love Kade's expression in this one though.
See, he wants to be in the picture but be the one to take it at the same time.
Blowing bubbles outside.
Notice the huge bruise on his cheek. We were at the park and he fell on the toys, poor little guy. I have tried uploading a video of this but it is not working so maybe I will get it in the future.

All smiles.

California for Christy's Wedding

My best friend from growing up got married in June and even though we don't talk much now, I did not want to miss seeing her and her family.
I love this picture because if I didn't know he was my baby, I would think he were one of my brothers. Check out my brother's baby blanket and the old toys from when we were little. And its official, Kade is a thumb sucker, I fought it so hard but there are only so many times the you can try to shove a binkie into a baby's mouth. I hoping that since he didn't start until he was three months old that he won't do it for long because he only doesn't it when he is really tired and he doesn't do it every time he goes to sleep. But as much as I fought it, I do think it is so cute. YAY, we got to go to the beach again. However, it was overcast but luckily there wasn't a cold wind but once again, Carson could care less. We forgot the toys we got last time but we got more that came in that awesome basket.
Kade enjoyed it much more this time, he just hung out on the blanket and when he got tired, grandma rocked him to sleep.
Here we are after we had a nice long talk.
This is the look he gave me when I was trying to take pictures while he was busy building a castle.
Burying daddy's feet
Grandma and Kade. My mom hates the beach because she just gets totally burnt in the sun, hence the three umbrellas. We are glad that she came with us though.
Chyler dug a hole to put Carson in but he was over it by the time I got the camera out.
Loving the water.
At the Newport Temple
Christy and I
I think this is one of my favorite pictures, I just love Kade's face while he is all cuddled up to daddy and holding onto his tie.

More Pool Time

This is what happens when Britney puts on the sunscreen.

Kade's 3 Month Pictures

The biggest thing that Kade starting doing this month was really starting to laugh. It is so cute and he always laughs the most when I am singing to him, don't know what that's supposed to mean, but whatever makes my baby happy.

Finally...It's Time to Swim

May was totally windy which made it way too cold to swim very much, however, I was thrilled my power bill was so small. Jodi and I still took the kids to the park and they had fun regardless.
Wondering where the water went
This is Carson whenever we are outside, he loves it and just goes crazy
Presley hated the water, it was so funny
Presley's super cute bathing suit, and yes, my mom was appalled that she had a halter top bikini
The poor kid spends so much time on the sidelines
Our new pool for the summer but this year we even have a water slide to go with it, see the video below. Notice the bathing suit we bought for the beach. It is so big that when Carson was lying down in the pool, Jodi's niece slid down the slide and caught his suit with her toe and easily took it down to his ankles. We got him a smaller suit after that day.
See, Kade is dressed all warm but Carson and I decided to brave it and swim anyway.

May Fun

Here is what went on in May. There are a few videos but please ignore that they are sideways, I don't know why I can't get it through my head that they video doesn't work sideways.
Hanging out on the couch with Kade while Carson was taking his nap. He is such a happy baby. Kade was sleeping with his arms up while I was cooking dinner, I thought it was so cute.
Mother's Day with my sweet boys who didn't want to look at the camera
Daddy and Carson playing with a plastic tub, why we even buy Carson toys is beyond me.
We have been doing a lot of projects around the house. Our ceilings are really high but all of the closets only have one shelf so we added another one. I had to prime and paint and Chyler hung them. We learned a lot during the process of what not to do so our next closets will look much better. But having the extra storage space is fantastic. High five to Chyler, he is awesome.
Chyler has been replacing a lot of water heaters lately for his handyman clients and he brought home one of the boxes which provided hours of entertainment for daddy and son. Here he is waiting for Chyler's hand to poke through the whole so he can slap it.
He got it
Poor Kade wasn't having as much fun.
Carson loves playing outside but he also loves to take his clothes off, so there you have it, Carson outside without his clothes.
He does this all day, digs up the rocks, puts them in the bucket, they dumps them somewhere like in the back of the bike you see here, onto the pavers, or into the pool. It drives me crazy. We are talking about building a sandbox but we haven't figured out how to cover it so we haven't gotten to it yet.
Kade and I hanging out while Carson plays.
Scowling at the camera

Some talking he has been doing lately
