California Again
Jodi wanted to go home to California before she had to go back to work and since my parents are traveling fiends in the summers, we only had like one week we could go down to visit. So in June we headed down and I had some grand plans to go to the beach and spend tons of time outside since it is so beautiful there. However, they were having like record lows there and we even were he in Vegas so there went all of my plans. I didn't even pack one warm item of clothing so I was freezing in my shorts and flip flops all week. So sad. But we did go shopping and spend time with the parents and Michele's family so it wasn't a complete bust. And on Thursday night we went to the 2nd Avenue Fair that Upland has had forever with Laura and Emerson and Margaret. So I guess the funnel cake saved the week, no offense family....I love you also.
Jodi and Michele put Alyssa's headband on Carson which he clearly did not like since they both had to restrain him long enough for a picture. But isn't the flower cute, yep, my handy-work. I made a bunch of them for Alyssa and Presley as part of my new year's resolution to be more crafty.
Carson has hated the baby swings at parks every time we have tried them but he was all over these in my parents backyard. I think he also liked that Emerson was there. Isn't my parents backyard beautiful. They have done a ton of work to it in the last few years and I love it. Especially all the grass, it's actually green as opposed to the dead stuff in my yard.

Shoes Everywhere
So Carson has been into my shoes all the time now. Before he would just go into my closet and pull them all of the shelves but now he takes them and carries them around the house. Let me tell you, finding my shoes to leave has been a nightmare. But it is really funny watching him walk around in my high heels especially since he is so good at it. Chyler always keeps his shoes downstairs because they are not allowed on the carpet so I really need to get a picture of him wearing those.

Summer's Here
I was so excited to buy us a pool this summer and Carson is in love...with the hose that is. In these pictures, he is just trying to figure it out but he soon learned the joys of it. I had to get the big pool so I could lay out with my raft.
Hale Farewell BBQ
My cousin Rob and his wife Mercedi have been living here for the last 4 yrs while Rob was going to dental school. Mannix is just a few months younger than Carson and it has been so fun having them here, we miss them already.
Cute little Mannix
This is Becky's fiance, Scott, helping out Carson. Yea Becky!!!
Carson's eyes haven't really been a color for awhile now. Especially, since he is wearing grey do they look really grey but they have tons of specks of green so I think that is what they will end up being just like his daddy.
I have no idea what he is laughing at but he sure thought it was funny. It was such a beautiful night and he loves to be outside to run around. Seeing how Chyler is always working, I go everywhere alone which makes having conversations rather hard when I am always chasing Carson around. At one point, my nephew Jackson helped watch Carson and it was so great to be able to sit and chat.
Yummy Yogurt
So Carson has been eating finger food since he could eat like every other baby but this is one of the first times I gave him yogurt to eat by himself. As you can see, he LOVED it and felt mighty proud of himself by the end. I just don't know how much actually made it into his mouth. At one point he was trying to scoop the yogurt back into the cup and I just sat back and cracked up at him. I love this little guy!!!

Top of the Morning to You
I have been meaning to get this picture for about 8 months now. I have this old stuffed lion that had this safari hat on but Chyler thought it looked stupid so he cut the hat off. Since then, Carson has loved playing with just the hat and it looks so silly on his big head that I had to finally get a picture of it.
Tyler's All Grown Up
Tyler is the second oldest grandchild and he just graduated from High School so we went up to St. George for the festivities.
Patrick always says that Carson looks like my dad and from this angle, he totally does with their matching balds heads!!! Can you believe Carson is just chillin' on Grandpa's lap, at least he was until he saw me go down the stairs to take the next picture.
Our little boy is all grown up
The proud parents and Tyler's classic look
He was throwing a fit so my dad had to take him out. I think this is that last picture with his binkie. Surprisingly, it wasn't hard to take it away at all, one day I just did. Occasionally he will find one around the house and get all excited but then it disappears as soon as he puts it down and he doesn't think twice about it.
Travis always holds him up like this and loves it when he walks all over his face, weird kid!
