Salt Lake City

Here are pictures from the rest of our weekend in Salt Lake.

This is a video of Carson playing with Grandpa. Sorry it is sideways, I always forget the camera doesn't record sideways.

Lions and Tiggers and Bears, Oh My

I bought this outfit for Carson while I was pregnant and I am so excited that it fit him.
This is the night I brought it out of the closet and he immediately started touching it because it was so soft.
This is when Carson and I went to our ward's Trunk or Treating. The adorable little boy with Carson is in our ward. His family sat behind us one week and Carson totally loved playing with Jackson. It was so cute because it was the first real time that Carson played with another baby and he gets excited every time we see Jackson.
And this little cuttie is Sadie dressed as Little Bo Peep (so cute). Unfortunately, Carson doesn't pay as much attention to her as she does to him. He is starting early with the "girls have cooddies" idea. But I was lucky enough to have Amber and Sadie hang out with me the whole night which was really fun.Carson, my sister Jodi and I went up to Riverton, Utah for Halloween weekend for my niece, Katelyn's, baptism. It was so fun going Trick or Treating with the cousins, Snow White, Tigger, Sleeping Beauty, and a little bee. And yes, we totally took the babies Trick or Treating because we couldn't pass up the candy.
Carson and Brilynn
Brilynn is so much more lovable to everyone than Carson is. She will give kisses and laughs to everyone and it is so cute. This is Brilynn playing with Uncle Trevor. Carson just stares at strangers until they prove your worthiness I guess.
Cameron was so precious in his tigger costume, however, he was really annoyed by the end of the night by everyone telling him to hop around. He started yelling, "I'm Cameron, not Tigger." Yep, I am so borrowing this in a couple of years.
Carrying around two 20 pound babies for two hours straight was no easy task. Luckily, Kiersten, Alan and I were switching off carrying them. It still didn't take away the sore arms the next day, however.
Carson had the whoppers in his mouth almost the whole time, he was so good even though it was raining off and on.
Me and Brilynn playing Toward the end of the night, Carson started getting tired and cuddling with Alan. Alan got such a kick out of it since Brilynn isn't a big cuddiler. What was really funny was that the whole weekend, Carson would see Alan leave a room and he would fuss and go after him. I think he thought Alan was Chyler since they are built the same way. It was sweet that Carson missed his daddy.

Carson's New Laugh

I can't believe how old Carson is getting, he is starting to look and act more like a little boy than a baby. It is so fun and exciting but sad at the same time. I started to notice that his laugh has changed as well, it isn't as high pitched but it still just at cute. Here are a couple of videos of his super cute laughing.

Pumpkin Patch

I am been so excited to have a baby to take to the pumpkin patch because I saw adorable pictures of a baby in one a few years ago. Unfortunately, Carson was not nearly as excited as I was because he would not smile at all, he just would give us these blank stares like he couldn't believe we would take him to a place like that. I still think that he looked pretty dang cute in his outfit so here they are.

St. George

I went up to St. George to stay with my sister's kids while they went away for the 20 YEAR anniversary...crazy I know. Notice how I didn't say "watch" the kids because they are old enough that they don't need watching, I just had to make sure that they didn't kill each other or burn the house down. And don't even worry, because I did find a BBQ lighter in the boys room and they were fighting about how had the fireworks. So the whole burning the house down isn't so far-fetched. Sorry Trina!! But for some reason I took a ton of pictures while I was there so I wanted to post some. This is actually at my house but since it was only the night before we left, I threw it in. Carson and Britney. Carson loves strings, ribbons, etc, that he can chew on Tyler has a disgusting snake that in a crazy moment I let him put it around Carson.
Yuck!! Right after this, Carson tried to bite it's head off. We pretty much decided Tyler should put it away after that. So sad!! They matched.
I pulled out Trina's Halloween costumes and Britney decided to try the mullet on Carson. Clearly he is as upset with the style as the rest of us. But you can see his tooth in this picture. The poor little boy is sad again. I guess he was getting sick of all the pictures.
He looked so small in Trina's big bed.

Mommy's Little Helper

My sister-in-law gave me Savannah's walker for Carson because almost all of our downstairs is tile. When we put him in it at their house, he had no idea what to do but after about 5 minutes in it the next morning, he was all over the place, that is after he figured out it wasn't a jumper. It just so happened that right after I brought it home, I had been cleaning so all the furniture was pushed back and the vacuum was out so he discovered his love of pushing things. Anything and everything that is on the floor soon becomes relocated to wherever he can push it.
A few weeks later, my niece Britney came down and was cutting Chyler's hair and sneaky little Carson wanted to help sweep up the hair. I can't begin to tell you how much he loves his walker because it gives him so much freedom. The only down fall is the fact that he loves to come up right next to you which means he hits your feet all the time and it kills. Also, I can't load/unload my dishwasher while he is in it because he just sits there and takes everything back out. Oh, and he has figured out how to turn the TV on and off so we have to block that.
Oh, and this is one of Carson's new looks where he looks like an old man because smashes his lips together.

Marysvale, Utah

The first weekend in September we went up to Marysvale, UT with three of my sisters. They have all been going up for the last couple of years but this was the first time that Chyler and I took the trip. We had a great time ridding quads, floating the river, and just hanging out. The only downfall was that our cabin was smaller than my bathroom. Yep, it had a double bed and once we set up the crib, there was about an 6-in pathway to the bathroom and we had to stack all the suitcases, car seat, and cooler in the one corner of the room because the other corners had the bathroom door, the front door, and the bed. Another interesting thing about the room was the front door. Since we were driving up late on Thursday night and getting there at about 2am, Michele had checked us in and left the keys in the door. The first thing he said when he saw the room was, "we paid $59 a night for that?" After we unloaded the car and shut the door, we realized that Chyler had left his wallet in the car and that the keys were still in the door. Since Chyler was still standing by the door, he slipped his shoes back on and went to go outside. It was then we realized that the door knob was broken and we were locked inside. Considering there was no phone in the room and we had no cell phone service and the front desk was in the gas station about half a mile away, it was a very good thing we were there with family otherwise we would have been stuck in there all weekend. Luckily, Michele was out and about the next morning so she came to our rescue by slipping a screw driver through the screen so Chyler could take off the door knob. And the best part is, that when Michele took what was left of the door knob up to the front desk, they told her that no one was "going to town" that day so they were going to leave us with no door knob. It was bad enough that we had to go on our half-day ride with the room unlocked but they wanted to leave it like that all weekend. When we got back, they had changed it but it was a bedroom door knob but at least it was something. Don't even worry because our rooms weren't the only ones with issues, all the rooms were dirty, Jodi's room was completely slanted so the head of the bed was lower than the foot of the bed and there were holes in the floor under the carpet. Trina's room, (which was supposed to be our room but was quickly changed to their room once they saw how tiny our room was and they had five kids to put on the floor) smelled like a latrine. And Michele's room was covered in ants and had dirty sheets. It really is sad that the rooms are so silly because the location was amazing, the trail was close, it was right on the river, and there was a big grass area between the cabins where there was a hose and the kids could run around. Now onto the actual trip. On Friday, we all loaded up on the quads and headed up to the top of the mountain to have lunch. It was so pretty up there and there were so many trees. When we got back, everyone showered and we walked across the street to a restaurant that had an award winning chef from Santa Barbara so the food was great. On Saturday, Patrick, Layne, and Chyler went on a "boys" ride and traveled 130 miles. They were gone ALL DAY and came back absolutely filthy, I was tempted to not even bring his clothes home. While they were gone, the rest of us floated the river. It was really late in the season to do that but I really, really wanted to go because I have never done it before and it was about 2 minutes into the trip that I regretted going because the water was really cold and Carson was not liking it. He luckily feel asleep through part of it and was pretty chill throughout the rest but I was very relieved when we got back to the cabins. We did have fun though, we had Zach there to bail us out because he could stand up but he got sick of that pretty quick and ditched us. And then Michele and Britney got stuck going under a very low tree and came out covered in worms, of course they completely freaked out as I would have done. And Britney was completely worthless because was on here stomach and wouldn't even touch the water. It was a really fun weekend and good times were had by all.
This is one of my favorite pictures because I love seeing my two boys together. Carson loves to cuddle when he is tired.

Carson was completely out for most the ride up the mountain. Clearly he needs a diaper change after the long trip.
